I love this....

" As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to let us down probably will. You'll have your heart broken, probably more than once, and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when someone broke yours. You'll fight with your best friend and maybe fall in love with them. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast and you eventually lose someone close to you. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every 60 seconds you spend angry or upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back."

(My daughter's speech - 6 years old ) A TRIBUTE TO TEACHERS AND PARENTS - March 20, 2012

To our beloved principal, Mrs.________,to my dear adviser Ms. _________, administrators, honourable guests, teachers, parents and to my fellow graduates, good afternoon!

I have been enrolled in this school, Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School for the past two years and I am proud to have been part of this growing academic community.

I am honoured to have this opportunity to express my gratitude to the people who place a special part in my heart. Thank you to my teachers who have taught me things that do not only help me grow in mind, but also in character. Thank you to my classmates for making learning fun. And on behalf of all my fellow graduates, thank you to all our dear parents for your care, whole hearted support and love. May we grow up to discover our potentials and be able to accomplish what we are aiming for. Good afternoon!

Child's Definition of LOVE.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca - age 8

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy - age 6

Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."
